Special Programs

Extended Day
The name of our extended day program is Miei Amici, which means “My Friends” in Italian. Working parents will appreciate the extended hours offered at TLC Montessori.
All-Day care is offered to toddler, preschool, and kindergarten to 1st grade students. Additional care is offered during Winter, Mid-Winter, Spring, and June breaks. Children participating in our before care program will enjoy free play activities with a variety of materials ranging from art supplies, books, organized games and stories, and toys.
Children joining afternoon extended care are greeted by our extended day staff before having a balanced snack and then heading outside for recess. When the children return from recess, they are offered activities such as music and movement, art projects, organized games, and free play.

Movement
Music
TLC Montessori’s music teacher engages all the children in singing, listening, and playing instruments. The fun, interesting activities designed for your child motivate expressive music making and build their musical vocabulary. Your child is introduced to musical elements such as pitch, tempo, dynamics, duration, and timbre. These elements are built into singing games, multicultural action songs, and movements. Also included in the music program are all-school Winter and Spring Concerts.
Foreign Language
TLC Montessori’s foreign language program provides all children with the opportunity to speak, listen, and learn how to make simple, easy conversations. Our weekly foreign language class introduces your child to words and phrases used in everyday life, such as numbers, riddles, poems, and songs.
