Kindergarten & 1st Grade

TLC’s Kindergarten is set up to complete the previous four foundational years in our school. This is when many of the earlier lessons come together and become a permanent part of the young child’s understanding.

1st graders expand their knowledge on all of the curriculum below.

Based on the proven belief that children develop best when they have the freedom to learn and grow as individuals, the unique Montessori style of learning takes advantage of a child’s natural ability to acquire knowledge and skills.

The focus on developing each child’s exceptional and distinct set of gifts creates a non-competitive, cooperative classroom environment. As a result, many of TLC’s Kindergarten students attain such a high level of skills that they transfer directly to our district’s accelerated programs and/or become leaders in their classes.
